To test your access, send an email from another account (eg, a Hotmail account) to your email address. Give it a few minutes and then press Send/Receive in Outlook Express.
Then try sending emails.
Remember that it can take up to 48 hours for all the nameservers around the internet to start pointing to your dotdashsplash account, so it may not work for the first day or two. Do not be alarmed at this. If you are moving from another web host your emails will still be going there, so between your two accounts you will not lose emails.
There will be times when some emails are going to your old account while some are going to the dotdashsplash one. This is normal. Contact the company who provided your previous webhosting to get the emails which are in your old inbox.
